Brand Overview

All the vineyards of Tenuta Carretta are part of the Langhe-Roero and Monferrato wine-growing district, an extraordinary territory recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 2014 , and now extend over approximately 70 hectares. In the 35 hectares represented by a single plot that extends as an amphitheater all around the winery, from south to north-west, the grapes grown are mostly arneis (for the Roero Arneis Cayega and Canorei ), then nebbiolo (for the Roero Bric Paradiso ), barbera (for the renowned Barbera d'Alba Bric Quercia ) and favorita (the name with which in the Roero is called the vermentino). But the vineyards of the estate also extend to the nearby Langhe, such as the 2.6 hectares in Barolo, in the prestigious Cannubi hill, from which the nebbiolo grape destined for the production of the famous Barolo Cannubi and Barolo Cannubi Riserva originates . The vineyards of Cascina Bordino , with Nebbiolo for 6.5 hectares, such as those of Garassino (4.5 hectares), are instead located in the municipality of Treiso and are destined for the production of the corresponding Barbaresco , while from the Nebbiolo grapes from the Tavoleto vineyard , in the municipality of Alba (8 hectares), the homonymous Nebbiolo d'Alba is produced . Finally the dolcetto, which finds its best habitat in the vineyards of the Il Palazzo farmhouse , in the locality of Madonna Como (Alba), where the homonymous Dolcetto d'Alba is produced.
